Manual Therapy Academy – Privacy Policy

Manual Therapy Academy is a continuing education organization that offers live workshops to healthcare professionals in Canada and around the world. Although most of our live seminars take place in Canada, we partner with private practices and clinicians in other countries to educate and train their staff in proven and emerging manual therapy techniques where participants from all over are welcome.

I. General Policy

A. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

Manual Therapy Academy is committed to protecting your privacy when you visit the Manual Therapy Academy website located at the URL www.manualtherapyacademy.ca (“Manual Therapy Academy Site”). This Privacy Policy explains to you how we collect and use your information. (ii) All sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then entered into our Payment gateway provider’s database accessible only to those authorized with special access rights to such systems who are required to keep the information confidential. (iii) All data stored on the Manual Therapy Academy Site server(s) is stored in a database “behind” a secure firewall. (iv) There is no permissible access to the database outside of the hosted environment. (v) After a transaction, your private information (credit card information) will not be stored on our servers.

In compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act), Manual Therapy Academy will not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website and courses are directed at people who are older than 13 years.

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third party products or services on our website. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

E. CALIFORNIA ONLINE PRIVACY PROTECTION ACT

Because we value your privacy we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.

F. ONLINE PRIVACY POLICY ONLY

This online privacy policy applies only to information collected through our website and not to information collected offline.
